I have 15 years of experience as a Database Administrator, starting with Oracle and now in love with PostgreSQL. Performance tuning is my passion, an ever-evolving puzzle that blends technical insight with creative problem solving. Lately, I have come to appreciate the PostgreSQL extension ecosystem as much as the mysteries of deep space. Currently, I work at Veeam in Prague. I am a regular attendee and occasional speaker at the Prague PostgreSQL Meetup. Ever witnessed AI's advice bring a production server to its knees? The hype around AI, pg_vector, and queryGPT is enormous, yet the quirky realm of "AI hallucinations" remains overlooked. Every AI hallucination in production brings more work to DBA's doorstep. In this talk, we will have a brief introduction to AI hallucinations. I will highlight these digital misfires via examples collected from Postgres Community Slack, the Postgres Telegram channel, and various Postgres blogs.
