Ransomware attack breaches are one of the main concerns that big entities in the financial and healthcare businesses have. Originally, the attack went against the data, but now the attackers also target the backups to prevent any kind of recovery and force the victim to pay the ransom. This talk will be about work we have done in Barman to make it work on infrastructure built to prevent ransomware attacks. We’ll go over cloud and on-prem architectures that were brought to us and which implementations we provided to make Barman work in each case. But not all is done! (Or maybe it is?) So, we will also mention cases we haven’t addressed yet and how we plan to deliver such solutions.
